If you have scholastic bonus points saved up, you can get each student a book for no money at all.

You can also make laminated gift cards for the students. This is a play on the punch card idea that many restaurants use for frequent visitors. You can include things such as: 15 minutes of computer time, lunch with the teacher, extra free reading time, and a free homework pass. You can either make one card for each idea, or one card per student with several options on the one card. As the students cash in each thing, you punch it with a hole-puncher.

For a fun gift idea for younger students, consider going to a local craft store and purchasing some red string and large jingle bells. These items are both very inexpensive. Then tie one bell to each string and made a necklace for your students. You can even place a cute tag on the necklaces telling students to "Put a jingle in your step. It's Christmas time!" This idea is especially great for Pre-k, Kindergarten and First grade.
