I also see the weekend as a way to 'remind' the students of the rules. Good thinking. Consistency here is the key. Students try to see where they can 'bend' the rule a little to see how we will react.

Over time it should be easier to teach and the balance between reinforcing and learning will be equal.

Do you teach weaker classes? Do you find there is a correlation between rule 'bending' and learning?
